Respectful
Behavior
A
goal of MVAS is that everyone (administration, staff, and parents)
speaks and treats each other respectfully. Loud and offensive language
is a disruption and will not be accepted on campus. Another goal
of MVAS is that all stakeholders (students, teachers, staff and
visitors) will treat school property and the campus responsibility.
We want MVAS to take pride in a clean and safe environment.
The
most important agreement we can make with one another is to speak
respectfully without discrimination or prejudice regardless of person’s
age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
All
of us at MVAS have agreed to work diligently to use respectful language
at all times. Your teachers, and all the other adults who work here,
have promised to set an example that will inspire every MVAS student
to speak in a friendly, respectful manner to everyone, everywhere,
at MVAS.
Respect
for people includes showing concern for things people share and
for things they own privately. At MVAS we share a whole school,
from the wall to the books, to our computers and bathrooms. We must
take good care of everything we share, our virtual school depends
on our good citizenship and respect for our shared property.
Everyone
knows how important it is not to take things that belong to others.
Stealing is never a friendly, respectful way to act.
